Easter Table Ideas: A Charming Pink and Green Table for Spring
I am so happy to have the extra daylight come the evening. It means we are one more step closer to the official start of spring! I always look forward to setting the table this time of year, and today I am sharing my easy Easter table ideas anyone can do. I chose a classic pink and green theme, my favourite spring colour combination, but you can choose any spring colours you love.

Today I am joining 15 fellow tablescape enthusiasts as we share our tables set for spring and Easter. A big thank you to Rita from Panoply for getting us all together and keeping everything organized.
I apologize in advance for the less than stellar photo’s today. My editing software just would not cooperate. Rather than get myself all worked up about it, I am just going with my unedited smartphone photo’s!
Choosing a tablescape theme
Every thoughtfully set table begins with a theme. I admit this Easter table has a themed based on a whim, but a theme none-the-less.
My inspiration for today’s table came from a shopping trip to Homesense , where I found this gorgeous William Morris tablecloth. I try not to purchase new table decor too often as I already have more than anyone needs, but I just couldn’t resist.

Of course, not far down the aisle were these sweet gingham placemats with the rickrack edging. I decided right then that both were coming home with me!
Between the beautiful spring-like pinks and greens, and the charming details of the placemats, I had my theme.
Shop Your Home
This is my golden rule! So, as I was standing in Homesense clutching these 2 new pieces, I was scanning my brain thinking of what I already had at home that would go well with them.
There is really no reason to spend money on one or two pieces, no matter how much you love them, only to come home and have nothing works with them to create a cohesive table. Unless of course you are willing to buy “all the things” to create your vision, which I definitely was not!
Thankfully I had no difficulty coming up with a long list of things that would work perfectly to see my theme through.

Mixing Colour and Pattern
There’s something so incredibly charming about gingham, don’t you think? And, mixing it with florals really brings out the cottage charm. I’ve never been afraid of mixing colour and pattern when it comes to setting the table. It gives a collected over time, cozy feel which is right up my lane!
I do think that when mixing patterns and colours keeping them in similar colour families works best. Have a look at my Fruit and Flowers Spring Table for another look at how I boldy mixed the two!

Layer Place Settings
Spring is all about the lush rebirth of the gardens, lawns and foliage. Creating a lush layered place setting that evokes that feeling of spring doesn’t have to be difficult or expensive.
On top of the gingham placemat I have stacked my everyday white dinner plates, pink melamine plates I have had for years, and a double napkin.
Vintage looking pink glassware and tiny glass egg cups are in keeping with the pink and green theme, and simple everyday flatware rounds out each place setting.
Be Creative With the Napkins

I honestly couldn’t decide between the pink and the gingham napkins, so I decided to use both! I simply laid the pink hemstitch napkin on top of the green one, gathered them up and tied them with a bit of white and pink ribbon.
After I was finished I stepped back and thought they kind of looked like floppy bunny ears, so I consider that a bonus Easter element!
Simple Easter Elements
You may have noticed that the Easter elements on this table are quite simple. Just a couple of dollar store moss bunnies that flank the centrepiece, and one ceramic bunny that sits in the centre of the cookie plate.
I like how the moss bunnies give a nod to the garden, while they give the table a festive touch without being overdone.

I made the little floral shortbread cookies exactly the same way I made these ghost cookies. A leaf tip created two green leaves, and a small star tip was used to swirl on a flower.

Spring Flower Centrepiece
Ranunculus are the quintessential spring flower in my opinion! Along with tulips and other bulb flowers of course! I was so happy to see them at the market last week.
At first I had them arranged in a vase, but when looking through my stash for plates and napkins, I saw this cute basket and decided that would be perfect! The centrepiece was so easy to make. I just lined the basket with an oblong glass storage container, stuffed in some chicken wire, topped it with moss and stuck the ranunculus stems randomly throughout.

Charming But Not Fussy
This table was designed with a casual Easter dinner with family in mind. The mix of colours and patterns, the rick rack edges on the place mats and the hobnail glassware all give it that English cottage charm I just adore.
I wanted to create something that just felt joyful and happy, and I think I did just that. The Easter elements could easily be removed and this table would be perfect for Mother’s Day or any other spring occasion.

I can’t get enough of the two elements that led me in the direction of this pink and green table, so I will be leaving both the tablecloth and the placemats on the table throughout the season!

Homesense, Winners, and Marshalls are all excellent places to stock up on table decor supplies. But, more often than not I visit thrift stores and dollar stores to find unique items without breaking the bank.
Don’t make it complicated! Start with shopping your home! Pick out any linens or dishware you already have. Focus on soft spring colours, seasonal elements like moss bunnies or Easter candy, a spring floral centrepiece, colourful layered or simple place settings based on the style you want to achieve.
Soft shades of pink, green, yellow are my favourites, but robin’s egg blue and lavender are also lovely on a table in the spring.
Stick to a floral element, such as a tablecloth, and layer in a geometric print such as I did here with the gingham placemats and napkins. Keep the colours consistent for a cohesive look.
As always, it is a joy to share my spring table ideas with you!
