How to Make Strawberry Cream Cheese Mousse

Add cream cheese and strawberry jam to bowl of electric mixer. Beat until well combined.

Add confectioners sugar and beat until smooth and creamy.

Add whipping cream to mixing bowl of stand mixer (or hand mixer if using) fitted with wire whisk attachment. Beat until stiff peaks form.

Transfer whipping cream to the strawberry cream cheese mixture; fold in until well blended.

Transfer mixture to dessert dishes, garnish with fresh strawberries and chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
Prep Tips
- chill the mixing bowl and whisk attachment before whipping the cream
- use room temperature, regular cream cheese (not the whipped kind)
- use good quality strawberry jam or preserves with bits of strawberries, not strawberry spread
- sift confectioners sugar before adding it to the cream cheese mixture for the smoothest texture

Variations and Serving Ideas
- Use any flavour of jam or preserves that you like! Raspberry or blueberry would be particularly delicious on top of a layer of graham cracker crumbs.
- Make it a chocolate strawberry cream cheese mousse simply by adding chocolate cookie crumbs to the bottom of the dish before spooning in mousse. Top it with a chocolate covered strawberry for an extra-special touch!
- Serve it in little Mason jars as I did here, or very special occasions serve it in martini or other footed cocktail glasses.
- Pipe it into dessert dishes using a large star tip for an elegant presentation
This would be delicious swirled with my dark chocolate mousse for Valentine’s Day or any other occasion that calls for an extra-special dessert!
