Game Day Charcuterie Board

While this isn’t your traditional Charcuterie board, it brings your favourite sports bar food all gathered together on one epic Game Day Charcuterie Board! From pizza and wings, to all the classic game-day bites, it’s a fun and fuss free way to feed a crowd! Whether you are looking for an appetizer platter for Super Bowl, the NHL playoffs or even a board game night, this one has you covered!

The idea behind this board is simple. Bring together all the best game-day snacks on one platter or tray so family and friends can graze, try a bit of everything and help themselves throughout the game.

Hosting a Super Bowl Party, I think what really makes this board work is that it features everything you would find at your local sports bar. With a mix of cheesy, salty, crispy and savoury and plenty of dips to tie it all together!

What Goes On A Game Day Charcuterie Board

One of the best things about this game day board is how easy it is to pull together. Everything on the board started in the freezer and went straight to the oven or air fryer, which means very little prep and no stress!

Since many of the things included required the same oven temperature, I was able to get everything baked and on the tray in about 30 minutes. Less time in the kitchen and more time watching the game!

If you really wanted to make prep effortless and the budget allows, you could place a take out order at a local sports bar for a few of your favourites, and simply arrange on your board.

main bites

  • chicken nuggets or chicken fingers
  • chicken wings (I used vegan wings so there was something for everyone in my family)
  • mini bite size bagel pizzas

crunchy

  • Nachos with cheese dip
  • Pretzels (I used a spicy dill pretzel mix)
  • other suggestions include potato chips, plain pretzels, assorted nuts

classic sports bar favourites

  • mozzarella sticks
  • onion rings
  • you could also add sweet potato fries, potato wedges, or deep fired pickles

optional add ons

  • veggie sticks, such as carrots and celery
  • other add ons could include olives, pepperoni chunks, or cheese cubes

How to Assemble the Board

Start with a large platter or tray. I like to use a tray that have shallow sides to help prevent everything from falling off the sides. I made my board to feed 5 people.

Arrange small bowls with the dips and sauces. I used three different dips, and arranged them in a triangle.

Next arrange the larger items such as the wings, nuggets, mini pizzas and mozzarella sticks. Add the carrot and celery sticks to help keep things divided. Add the nachos and onion rings. Finally, sprinkle in the pretzels to fill any gaps.

Serving and Presentation Tips

  • use a large tray with sides to help contain everything
  • a wood board, baking tray or wicker platter all work well
  • choose a tray that is big enough to hold everything, but not to big that you can’t pile up each component for an abundant look
  • line the tray with parchment for easy clean up
  • keep it casual and inviting, not overly styled

Perfect Occasions to Serve This Board

  • Any game day
  • Super Bowl Party
  • movie nights
  • casual get-togethers

Consider this your reminder that entertaining does not need to be fancy to be good. With a mix of sports bar favourites and minimal prep, it’s the kind of spread that lets you relax and enjoy the game right along with family and friends.

There are so many ways that you could put it together, this board is meant to be flexible and fun. Make it just as I have or include your own favourite bites. Just remember to keep it simple because the best gatherings aren’t about perfection. They’re about good food, good friends and fun!
