As a baking enthusiast I tend to spend a lot of time either in my kitchen, thinking about what I could do to improve my kitchen, and lusting after other peoples kitchens! My kitchen is tiny and even though I dream of a the perfect Wolf gas range and Sub Zero 36″ all refrigerator and 36″ all freezer side by side, I know this will never come to be, unless of course I don’t want any cupboards! Don’t get me wrong my kitchen is certainly serviceable and works just fine for me, but now and again I get to whining about wanting more counter space, maybe a marble slab for pastry work, gas convection instead of electric….you get the picture. Speaking of pictures, here are a few images of kitchens that I would take no time at all to feel right at home in!
The mix of cream and black cabinetry, that amazing range made to look like a cabinet, and those giant windows want me to stay awhile and maybe bake a pie to cook in the window sill!
And, if you aren’t familiar with Canadian designer Sarah Richardson, let me introduce you to her kitchen….in her cottage!
Loving the look of open shelving, which is certainly a trend right now. That range! With two ovens! Imagine the baking that could come out of that baby!
Just look at the island and coffered ceilings in this kitchen. And do I even need to point out the range?! With a pot filler!
A library ladder…in the kitchen! Just look at all that storage, and the windows, oh, and the range!
I think when I grow up I want to be a kitchen designer!
I really did intend to post my apple pie today, but I got the pastry made and while it was resting in the fridge I made the mistake of turning on Dancing With the Stars….and the team dance was Gangnam style…too funny, I couldn’t resist!
So tune in tomorrow for…..fresh applie pie!
